The multiple problems of education require quick solutions to avoid a collapse of the system. School consortia can be the solution for reducing overcrowding in some educational units, considering that spaces, including classrooms, could be shared, claims the Minister of Education, Ligia Deca. The order for the approval of the Methodology regarding the organization and functioning of school consortia was published last week in the Official Gazette. According to the minister: "A solution to reduce overcrowding in some schools: school consortia. I have published the Methodology on the organization and functioning of school consortia and I encourage principals to initiate such partnerships! They can be the solution to reduce overcrowding in some schools, because they allow the use, sharing spaces, including classrooms. Also, sharing spaces is a way to give more children and their teachers access to a greater variety of educational resources: libraries, school workshops, students, cultural-sports bases".
According to the minister, this type of partnership has benefits for teaching staff as well - priority for teachers from schools in the consortium when completing the norm, transferring or changing positions. When setting up the school consortium, account will be taken of the possibility of carrying out joint activities of students and teachers, the distance between the educational units, the access routes, the existence of shared means of transport and school transport between the respective educational units.
