The Ministry of Economy early this week appointed Emil Miron of the Special Tasks Directorate of the Ministry of Economy as Special Administrator of Constructii Aeronautice - Ghimbav (Aeronautical Constructions - Ghimbav). According to Suba Arpad, the leader of the IAR - Ghimbav trade union, it is quite probable that the IAR - Ghimbav Board of Directors will convene for an urgent meeting at the end of the week.
In the meantime, the approximately 50 employees left in the company continue to prevent the management from entering company premises. "The situation is rather serious, as the company should have filed the monthly financial statements to the Codlea Public Finance Administration and we are currently incurring penalties for the delay. Additionally, we will probably get a fine because the management is currently unable to perform their duties. However, the Government, too, should be preoccupied with finding a faster resolution to the matter of our salaries, which have not been paid since April," Suba Arpad said.
Minister of Economy Adriean Videanu at the end of August issued Order no 1505 enforcing a special administration procedure for Constructii Aeronautice SA - Ghimbav. As a result of the state of special administration, all public creditors will be duly notified by the special administrator, based on the prerogatives bestowed upon him or her by special mandate, of the formal request not to initiate or, as the case may be, to terminate ongoing foreclosure measures against the company.
Constructii Aeronautice SA - Ghimbav has accumulated overdue debts of nearly 11.25 million RON to various State creditors and has only managed to pay 170,000 RON since the beginning of the year.
