The 13th edition of the traditional Strada de C'Arte series of events, which will bring together debates, book launches, exhibitions and musical recitals, will take place between September 26 and 29, at the Central University Library "Carol I " from Bucharest. Today, from 11:00, the BCU Hall will host the debate "Is it still worth going to the library in the digital age?", organized under the auspices of the BCU magazine "Carol I" "De spiritu et anima". At the event, they announced their participation. Dr. Mireille Rădoi and Dr. Carmen Pesantez, moderator being Flaviu Predescu. Also today, from 15:00, the launch of the anthology "Mihai Eminescu - Bessarabia and Bucovina", edition produced by Cassian Maria Spiridon and Ioan Cristescu, with the support of the Union of Professional Journalists from Romania, will take place. Participants: Mihai Tatulici, Ştefan Mitroi and the manager of the National Museum of Romanian Literature, Ioan Cristescu. From 6:00 p.m., in the Hall of the BCU Hall, the exhibition "Travel in Wallachia and Moldova at the beginning of the 19th century, reproduction after lithographs signed by Auguste Raffet", signed by acad. Mircia Dumitrescu, the event being followed, from 19:30, by a musical evening with soprano Arlinda Morava and Arte Quintet. The evening will end with the organization of some guided tours, between 21:00 and 22:00. On Friday, from 9:00 a.m., in the Council Hall of the BCU, the debate "Veteres libri, vetera manuscripta: restituiri patrimoniale bibliophile" is scheduled, moderator archim. Policarp Chiţulescu and Dr. Andreea Badea, with the participation of acad. Doina Banciu, president of AOŞR, and acad. Radu Vergatti. On the same day, the volumes: "Orthodoxy: Dialogue and Challenges" by Fr. university professor Dr. Nicolae Brînzea, Publishing House Tracus Arte, Bucharest, 2024, "Book of Cult and art object: Slavic Prints from the Library of the Holy Synod", by archim. Policarp Chiţulescu, Cuvântul Vieţii Publishing House, Bucharest, "Engraver Mihail Strilbitchi (second half of the 18th century)", authors: Anca Elisabeta Tatay & Cornel Tatai-Baltă, Mega Publishing House, Cluj Napoca 2024, "The traces that rise to cer", by Pavel Şuşara, Publishing House Tracus Arte, Bucharest, 2024. On Friday evening, lovers of jazz music and poetry will be able to attend events such as the Rampa de Jazz & Poezie - Street of Words, an instrumental and vocal Da Capo recital, a one -man show Sub Pragul de Sus by Glen Berger, with and by Răzvan Vasilescu, an Ovidiu Niculescu concert and at the launch of the poetry book "Cântecele unui Derbedeu". On Saturday, from 11:00 a.m., at the Royal Entrance, there will be an Equestrian Art Workshop - Marilena Hristache, the event being followed, in Corpul Boema, by the opening of the exhibition "Romania's Role in the Founding of the European Union", carried out by the Paneuropa Association.

On Saturday evening, BCU invites, from 19:00, in the Auditorium, to the theater show "Mr. President" by Alexandre de la Patelliere and Matthieu Delaporte, with Răzvan Vasilescu and Lucian Iftime. The evening will end with Lizuca Bîgu's concert. On Sunday, from 10:30 a.m., at the Royal Entrance, a new Equestrian Art Workshop is scheduled - Marilena Hristache and Antonia Dursch, followed by the event "Literature through the media: talking to the Laude-Reut teenagers. Media adaptations of the students according to the texts known literary works" (Boovie - Iaşi 2024 projects) and the launch, in the Carol I Salon, of the volume "Phrase factory: Eminescu in the world of the press", author Ioan Milică, Bucharest University Publishing House, 2023. From 1:00 p.m., in the Carol I Hall, as part of the closing festivities of the festival, the poet Ion Mureşan's award will take place. At the same time, during the event, BCU will host a book fair organized by the Association of Literary Publications and Publishers from Romania.
