Terra Romania, a leading player on the local construction machine tools will inaugurate a 5 million EUR site in Bucharest this autumn, according to an announcement made by General Manager Petre Babiceanu. The site measures 18,000 square meters, whereas the built surface totals 4,000 square meters. It comprises service shops and assembly shops for cranes, warehouses, office space and a showroom.
Terra Romania ranks third on the overall market for machine tools for the construction industry and leads the market for bulldozers and excavators. In addition to the said investment, the company plans to expand horizontally by opening more regional centers. Terra currently has centers in Bacau, Galati, Brasov, Cluj and Timisoara.
Terra Romania is part of Industrie Holding. It is the exclusive representative of JCB in Romania and a representative of Nissan Forklift, Palfinger, Jumbo, HBM Nobas, JCB Vibromax, Comansa and Crown. JCB concluded last year with the best results in their history, including a 35% increase in profit to 149 million GBP.
