EnglishThe Competition Council has authorized the acquisition by Thales - France of the Transport Solution Division (TSD) and the Safety & Security Command & Control (SSCC) LoB of the Integration and Service Division (ISD) of Alcatel Lucent.
Thales will therefore also control Alcatel Transport Solutions SRL - Bucharest, a newly established company to which the TSD business of Alcatel Romania SA has been recently transferred. Alcatel Lucent has no ISD - SSCC unit in Romania. Therefore, the Competition Council only analyzed the transaction concerning the TSD operations.
Alcatel Transport Solution SRL specializes in railway signaling and traffic management solutions. Thales is a leading electronics manufacturer delivering a variety of products to defense industries, aerospace industries and security industries across the world.
