The capital market could represent one of the solutions which would allow private companies to exit the crisis, considers Marcel Bărbuţ, the head of "Adeplast". In his opinion though, this is not the time to buy back shares or to go public: "Getting listed is a solution. The stock market is a good thing, but we"re talking about a stock market like the one in Poland, not one like ours, which isn"t working like it should. However, now is not the time to buy back shares or to go public. Personally, I think that 2013 would be an opportune moment in this respect".

Marcel Bărbuţ stressed that he is negotiating with certain funds to identify a partner, but went on to say that he has nothing tangible for now.

He also said that a viable company would always be financed by the banks: "When you"re healthy, banks will lend you money with a good interest and you"ll get everyone coming over to you. We are currently borrowing at the Euribor rate, plus 2.4%".

Marcel Bărbuţ said that he would access a loan of 3 million Euros, which has already been approved, to refinance the investment of 4 million Euros, pertaining to the new expanded polystyrene factory built this year. Also, "Adeplast" will access a loan of 7.7 million Euros, for the construction of a new plant in Roman, which will require expenses of 10 million Euros. This loan was also approved.

The head of the dyes and decorative plasters said that the Government must find solutions for exiting the crisis, claiming that when "one looks for solutions, it"s possible to find them".

He stressed that the company he manages has succeeded in increasing its turnover in 2010, by 12%, and the number of its employees from 141 in 2008 to 190: "The private sector can achieve good results even in the private system. The best thing to do is to look for solutions, not to downsize everything, lay people off, and complain".

"Adeplast" advanced from being ranked third to being the leader of its market, during the crisis, he said, emphasizing the fact that the company has invested heavily in modernization and retooling.
