Bucharest Science Festival, the largest science popularization event in Romania, will take place from today until September 29, bringing a variety of exciting events for audiences of all ages.
According to the organizers, this year's central theme is "Defenders of the Planet", and the festival aims to inspire, educate and bring science closer to the community through a program rich in interactive activities, workshops and exhibitions. Alexandru Toma Pătraşcu, the director of the festival, said: "Bucharest Science Festival is the perfect opportunity to show how science and technology can be used to protect the planet. We wanted this year's events to inspire all those passionate about science and show them how knowledge can make the world a better place. Whether you're passionate about astronomy, are fascinated by emergency response, or want to learn more about the urban ecosystem, we welcome you to join our community of defenders of the planet." Among the events at the festival are: the School Science Fair (September 25), an exhibition of fire trucks, helicopters and robots (September 27, in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), a science journalism workshop for teenagers (September 26, Ion Creangă Library), FAST (Future of Air & Space Technology) Expo (September 28), how the world is built - critical thinking workshop for students (September 26 - 27, in schools).
