The commissioners of the CNVM did not make a decision on the disbanding of the Rasdaq, proposed through the draft instruction which stipulates the moving of the issuers listed on the Rasdaq to the alternative trading system of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Even though they had scheduled the solving of the issue for tomorrow, the commissioners have given themselves more time to think about the issue.
Commissioner Bogdan Chetreanu said: "We haven't made a decision yet. We will wait, and give it some more thought".
The CNVM seemed adamant about getting rid once and for all of the Rasdaq "hybrid", after the Court of Justice of the European Union decided that it was not a regulated market, according to the European directives, even though over time, the Commission had treated it as if it was.
Still, when it came to making the final decision, some of the commissioners got cold feet. There are even rumors that the CNVM may pass the "Rasdaq" potato to the Parliament.
Two days ago, the "BURSA" newspaper criticized the draft instruction of the CNVM, showing that the companies listed on the Rasdaq may not be moved to the ATS through an administrative decision, like it was proposed, but through the decision of the issuers' shareholders.
