The young lady who has come out of the mist to take the seat of Minister of Finance, gets affected emotionally by any contact with anyone else except herself, meaning she is incapable of understanding the meaning of "public" (even though the meaning is the same in the Romanian Dictionary, and in the Merriam-Webster), like it has happened, for example, in yesterday's press conference, in the Victoria Palace, when she claimed, with an increasingly choked voice, that the draft amendment of the Fiscal Code has been put up for public debate, even though the journalists have contradicted her by pointing out that the draft had not been posted on the website of the Ministry, until she finally left the room like a hero/like a coward, with her head held high, and her back turned.
Petrescu claimed that the draft has been put up for public debate, because she has discussed it with "the academic environment", she will discuss it with the "business environment" and that she will also have an "event" on Friday as well.
Honestly, I don't know how anybody can speak to such a non-corporeal entity, other than in a state of trance and I am not surprised that the Academy knows such an individual that talk to such incorporeal entities, but I am extremely happy that businesspeople want this as well, in fact we are even going to have an event on Friday.
Judging from that the mysterious young lady is saying, that to her, t the word "public" revolves around the Academy, the representatives of the businesspeople and Fridays.
Since Ioana Petrescu leads the Ministry of "Public" Finance, it can be renamed the "Ministry of Academic, Business and Friday Finance", which has among its occupations, consulting the "environments" (secrecy seems to be ever-present around the current minister).
On Monday, we wanted to shake things up, so one of our journalists wrote the following inquiry, addressed to the Ministry:
"Hello!
Since news agencies have begun publishing news about the new draft of the Fiscal Code, we would kindly ask you to send us the draft in question, to allow us to get the information straight from the document, thus avoiding any potential errors.
Thank you,
Emilia Olescu - editor of BURSA"
We didn't get anything.
But on Tuesday, minister Ioana Petrescu gave us a "public" reply.
The one we mentioned above.
We are now feeling forced to talk to the business and academic "environment", so we don't have to wait until Friday's "event".
I hope those disembodied entities will be nicer...
