Our beautiful defeats!

The team of the Bursa daily ended its participation in the Press Football Championship, organized by Smart Olympic, with a match worthy of becoming a story for grandchildren. Suffice it to say that, the score quickly changed after five minutes, but the match was tied at 1-1. The team of Bursa became so concerned that they might actually win a game, which would have endangered the laws of the universe, so they changed tactics on-the-fly, generously allowing the team of rival paper Gândul to earn their three points. Discouraged by their string of defeats, any other team would have long ago abandoned the competition, but Bursa marched on, carrying the flag of fair-play.

"The team of Bursa is here, we are going to have a show again", one of the referees said before the game. And a show there was. What else would you call a full back that catches the ball 90% of the time only to bounce it back to the other team or a midfielder that can dribble 7-8 times in a row but wouldn"t pass the ball if his life depended on it. As always, its supporters were extremely enthusiastic, yelling and shooting pictures of a game that was worth remembering even though it was lost. One of the hosts put it best after the match: "The poets have left the competition, athletes continue".

For when, sometime in 2154, our descendants browse through the archive of Bursa, we need to mention the names of those who, in the autumn of 2010 proved that losing can be done in a dignified manner and with a smile: Ceauş, Nicolaie, Moldovan, Tănase, Flaugiu, Grecu. Cameos: Sagaidac, Deacu, Bojin, Bulmez and Dinu. The (100% female) supporters, who shall remain nameless because such is the fate of supporters everywhere, dominated the game in every way with their enthusiasm which no stand could contain.
