I wanted to prove my cleverness for once and to show how our country is being turned into a laughingstock by the lies of president Antonescu and of Ponta.
Just as I was beginning to write, up comes the other president on TV and begins to speak:
"Crin Antonescu announced that there is no list of requests from the European Commission.
On the same day, but more towards the evening, the prime minister was saying that there was a list of 11 requests and he also mentioned that he answered the Commission.
Today at noon, the spokesperson of the European Commission was saying that he has not yet received an official response from the Romanian Government concerning the 11 eleven requests which concerned two areas, the responsibility of the functioning of the state and the functioning of the justice system.
When hearing these statements, you can only come to a few unpleasant conclusions: the first and the most grievous is that these two people are lying to each other, because there is no other explanation I can see for the fact that the interim president says that < we do not have any inquiries > and the prime minister says < we do >; the second conclusion is that these people are also lying to the Romanians, as well as to our partners in the European Commission."
Băsescu just took the words out of my mouth.
The line I'd come up with wasn't much, but that was the best I could write on my own, and he hijacked my comment.
Fine.
OK.
So what do I write?!
Just as we were about to go to print, Antonescu left me speechless with his comments...
"Romania is being disinformed, and it is in a very difficult situation where it was placed by the irresponsibility of people desperate at losing their positions and their power. What these people did in the international media, in the international political environments, is a thing which I could only describe morally as a crime against this country".
My dear presidents, please, I am looking to hire - aren't you looking for a career in the media?
You could work in shifts-each of you could write articles with one day breaks.
That would be one hell of an objective newspaper.
And a very funny one too...
Unfortunately, you are employed by Romania.
And your country isn't objective, nor funny.
Prime Minister Victor Ponta said that the has sent to the European Commission on Monday, around 17:00 hours, the response to the inquiries added by the president of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and that on Friday only a draft was sent to the officials of the EU, according to Mediafax.
