The Transgaz Board elected Petru Văduva as the company's president until 2025

The Board of Directors of Transgaz (TGN) elected Petru Văduva as president of the company, until the end of his term of office as administrator, on April 29, 2025, according to a report of the natural gas carrier published yesterday on the website of the Stock Exchange of Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

Petru Văduva held the position of president of the Transgaz Council with a six-month mandate, which will end on September 9 this year. According to the CV published on the company's website, at Transgaz, as general manager and member of the board, Petru Văduva led the transformation and modernization of the national gas transport system in Romania, a company with majority state capital, with over 4,600 employees and 13,000 kilometers of pipeline infrastructure. He also initiated and executed the design and financing of the company's transformational development plan of more than 1.1 billion euros in the period 2014-2019, based on cooperation agreements for the transportation of newly discovered resources in the Black Sea by the Exxon consortium/ OMV and regarding the development of a high-pressure interconnection system with neighboring countries. At the same time, he initiated and developed the BRUA project, which connects Southern and Central Europe.

He graduated from Columbia University in New York, majoring in biology, with a master's degree in business administration - finance from Yale University, in the United States. T

ransgaz Mediaş obtained, in the first six months of the year, a consolidated net profit of 70.8 million lei, 60% below that of the first half of last year, while business decreased by 18%, to 960 million lei lei.

The Romanian State, through the General Secretariat of the Government, owns 58.5% of the gas carrier, whose stock market valuation amounts to approximately 3.1 billion lei.
