Theater festival in the archaeological park

The 8th edition of the International Independent Theater Festival in Constanţa will take place from August 25th to September 2nd, with performances scheduled to be held on the stage in the Tomis Garden (formerly known as the Arenas) within the Archaeological Park. The organizers have announced that the park will be reopened for this event. Over 20 performances will be presented during the festival, which is funded by the Ministry of Culture. According to the organizers, the guests attending FITIC 8.0, who will bring over 20 shows to the festival, include: Coquette Theater, Unfortunate Thespians, Romanian Playwrights Theater, Distinkt Company, Cr5ativi, Inorog Art, Andrei Tcaciuc and Gabriel Scalschi, 4TEEN Group, Acting up Group, Hyperion University of Bucharest, Ştefan Iordache Group, Atelierul de Teatru Group, #Bebold Theater, Transparency Group, Cuadro Group, Umbre Group, Philogen Cultural Association, Între Acte Group, Victory of Art Group, "I.L. Caragiale" National University of Theatrical and Cinematic Arts, "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu. Special guests include: Tania Popa, Dl Goe, Natalie Ester, Dragoş Stemate, Aici Group, and more. According to the mentioned source, the program also includes theater workshops, improvisation, dance, and music, led by Toma Enache, Mike Săvuică, Mihai Bercaru, Mihaela Sîrbu, Tania Popa, Marius Bodochi, as well as reading performances. "We have prepared many other surprises for the wonderful audience from Constanţa and beyond. They can be discovered on the event's Facebook page and on the FITIC website, www.fitic.ro. As usual, admission to the shows is free, subject to available seats. FITIC 8.0 is funded by the Ministry of Culture," stated the organizers. FITIC will open on August 25th at 8:00 PM with the premiere of the play "Obiceiuri necurate" (Dirty Deeds), based on Tom Smith's work, produced by the Aici Group of high school students from Constanţa, under the artistic direction of actor Tiberiu Roşu. On the last day of the festival, September 2nd, at 9:00 PM, the awards ceremony will be followed by a unique concert by the Dl Goe band.
