EnglishUS-based luxury furniture manufacturer Thomasville on Wednesday inaugurated their first showroom on the Romanian market and is aiming for sales of some 4 million EUR by end-2008, according to Thomasville Romania Executive Manager Andrei Negrus. The Thomasville showroom is located in Biruinte Blvd. within the Mobilia Center and measures some 550 sq.m. carrying 33 furniture lines of 500 items in total.
"The furniture displayed in the showroom is imported from the USA and is intended for customers with above-average revenue. We are currently analyzing the market pending the opening of further stores. If everything goes well, we could also build a factory in Romania," said Negrus.
Thomasville Romania is a subsidiary of Thomasville, which operates in over 40 countries and has 180 single-brand stores, hundreds of outlets in furniture malls, 27 factories, 5,000 employees and sales of some 600 million USD/year.
