Transelectrica Tripled Profit In 2006
National power carrier Transelectrica SA reported a net profit of 280.761.104 in 2006, up 3,4 times from 2005. The company"s net revenues gained 43,49% yoy, amounting to 2.454.442.209 RON, of which 99,8% came from product sales. Exploitation revenues reached 2.481.836.948 RON, up 42,97% from 2005, while exploitation expenses increased by 40,17%, amounting to 2.222.578.102.
Fixed assets declined by 30,55%, to 2.905.357.253 RON, while the company"s real estate assets totaled 1.464.389.123 RON.
The company has a share capital of 732.978.660 RON, divided into 73.297.866 shares with a face value of 10 RON. Transelectrica shares are listed on Tier 1 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, under the symbol TEL, as of August 29th. At that date, the company was controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Trade (72%) and the Proprietatea Fund (13,5%). A 10% stake in the company was acquired by 4.861 investors. This year, Transelectrica shares have gained 16,86%.
