Transgaz forecasts a net profit of 309,5 million lei, for 2009

The shareholders of Transgaz Mediaş approved on Tuesday, the budget statement for 2009, which estimates a net profit of 309,545 million lei, according to a communiqué issued by the company, sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, quoted by Agerpress. The total estimated revenues amount to 1,417 billion lei, of which 1,408 operating revenues, and the expenses are expected to reach 1,052 billion lei, of which 1,033 billion lei operating expenses.

The company estimated investments worth 396,677 million lei for next year. The General Shareholder"s Assembly, gathered on Tuesday, also approved Transgaz taking the lead of the partnership concluded with Gaz Proiect Braşov and Petrostar Ploieşti for the designing of the Nabucco pipeline on Romania"s territory.

National Gas Transmission Company, Transgaz Mediaş, had a net profit of 179,078 million lei, in Q3 2008, up 3,93% YTY. The company"s turnover on September 30, was 774,342 million lei. For the current year, Transgaz Mediaş"s has budgeted a gross profit of 317,63 million lei, with an estimated profit after tax of 269,233 million lei.

The company"s total revenues were estimated at 1,275 billion lei, of which 1,262 billion lei operating revenues, and the expenses at 957,404 million lei, of which 940,417 million lei in operating expenses.

In 2008, Transgaz will make investments with a total worth of 587,261 million lei, of which 211,162 million lei from its own funds, 115,033 from domestic bank loans and 261,066 million lei from other sources (shares sold in the IPO and the Proprietatea Fund).
