Tsunami in a glass of water

Somewhere to the right of Australia, below the Salomon Islands, above New Caledonia and left of the Fiji Islands, that is in the Circle of Fire of the Pacific, - you guessed it, off the coast of the Vanuatu archipelago!, part of the Australasian region - yesterday morning, around 10:00 AM Bucharest time occurred a strong earthquake, which formed a tsunami that was 23 cm (!) high and 22 cm at its lower points, which was heading threateningly towards Port Vila, the capital of the Republic of Vanuatu, (located on the island of Efate), a state that has 243,304 citizens which use the local currency called Vanuatu vatu. All of the citizens of the state in question dropped everything they were doing, and took refuge on the island"s higher spots, following the warnings of the local police.

Not surprisingly, the wave did not cause any major damages to the capital or any losses of life. Apparently the waves just went three centimeters higher up the beach, but that is not certain, and our paper can"t verify that information since we did not send a reporter on the spot, we just published it directly as presented by some very serious news agencies, including Reuters.

It"s true that once burned, twice shy when it comes to tsunamis. After all, it"s not the press agencies" fault that this "disaster" occurred. Last time all these agencies were sleeping on the job and many people died.
