EnglishThe pilot store of the Twister franchise, recently opened by Tornado Systems, reported sales in excess of 10,000 RON/day. The newest player on the Romanian IT market, the Twister franchise is based on a unique store concept and a wide array of products from leading manufacturers.
The brand was created in 2002 as a program exclusively dedicated to Tornado Systems partners. At that time, the Twister network included 95 stores in 52 towns in 40 counties in Romania.
Twister constantly generated 15% of the Tornado revenues. The Twister target for 2007 is 26 million USD. For the next two years, the estimate growth is 20% per year, respectively 32 million SUD in 2008. In terms of expansion, the target is 100 stores by 2009. The average investment in a new store is 10,000 EUR, whereas the target communities have at least 75,000 inhabitants.
