According to the source, following the evaluation of over 1,900 universities from 96 countries, the University of Oradea is present in the prestigious international GRAS 2024 ranking, in the field of Mathematics, alongside six other Romanian universities and positions itself as a key player in the Romanian and European higher education landscape. "Although it is present for the first time in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), the University of Oradea is an example of how young institutions can make significant contributions to research and education. For the field of Mathematics, the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) ranking is based on key indicators: the quality of education, academic staff, research activity, the impact of research activity and international collaborations. The vice-rector of the University of Oradea, prof. univ. dr. Sanda Filip stated: "In order to be able to draw a comprehensive picture of the academic environment, the Shanghai Rankings use objective and quantifiable indicators and have in the foreground the evaluation of concrete research results, such as articles and papers published in globally recognized journals, as well as citations. The performances obtained in the field of Fundamental Sciences, with an emphasis on Mathematics, attest to the increase in the visibility of academic research and the reputation of our university's researchers at a global level". The Doctoral Field of Mathematics, an integral part of the Doctoral School of Engineering Sciences, offers a solid basis for advanced research, with a commitment to academic excellence and innovation, through the doctoral supervisors: prof. univ. dr habil.
