EnglishRailway equipment producer Vae Apcarom Buzau posted a net profit decrease by 57,86% in 2006, according to a company preliminary report. The profit drop was caused mainly by the exploitation results of 1.495.955 RON, down 73,88% compared to 2005. However, the company"s financial profit was five times bigger, amounting to 933.306 RON last year.
Net revenues increased 6,28%, reaching 54.688.671 RON, due to sales from the company"s output totalling 50.637.294 lei. The value of the company"s frozen assets was 25.534.539 RON, down 1,65% from 2005.Real estate correspods to over half of the frozen assets value, amounting to 14.194.316 RON, down 0,11% from the previous year.
Apcarom shares are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the symbol APC. In 2006, APC shares gained 21,73%. In 1998, the company was privatized, 74,4% of APC shares being acquired by Vae Aktiengesellschaft.
