VES Sighişoara, a maker of stoves and enameled pots, ended the first six months of 2010 with a profit of 101,107 lei, after it had posted losses of 680,000 lei in H1 2009. However, the company"s turnover dropped 10.3%, from 12.8 million lei to 11.5 million lei.
The company saw its revenues drop more than 26% during the reporting period, from 22.6 million lei to 16.7 million lei, while its expenses dropped 28.7%, from 23.3 million lei to 16.6 million lei.
The largest shareholders of VES are Chimsport Orăştie Hunedoara (15.9%), brokerage firm WBS Romania (10.67%) and an individual investor, Idifta Bucur, who owns 10.64% of the company.
