The towns of Victoria and Codlea in Brasov County will take part in the Regional Operational Programme by submitting projects for the rehabilitation and conversion of polluted or unused industrial sites into other types of sites. The local administration of the town of Victoria will apply for 38 million RON to rehabilitate an 18-hectare industrial site and make it suitable for new economic activities. The project is scheduled for submission in December 2009. In turn, the Codlea Town Hall is planning to rehabilitate 2 of the 7.4 hectares that used to belong to Magura - Codlea. Representatives of Agency for Development Region Centre are displeased that the local authorities are hardly interested in such funding, either because of the lack of co-financing, or various legal issues related to the ownership of the land.
