Vladimir Cojocaru, the head of the General Supervisory Division of the Romanian National Securities Commission (CNVM), recently left the position it held for the last five years. He moved to the Internal Audit Department of the Commission. His position was taken by Ciprian Copariu, former head of the Issuer Department.

According to sources from inside the Commission, he was moved to a less stressful position due to personal reasons. Vladimir Cojocaru joined the CNVM in the early 2000, and has held several high responsibility key positions overtime, as overseer of the capital market. In May 2006, when he was leading the Supervisory Department of the CNVM, he was sent to the headquarters of SIF "Oltenia" to monitor for several months the decisions of the company"s management concerning the assets it had in its portfolio.

Also, in early 2000, Cojocaru coordinated the Technical Collective for the regulation and supervision of the Rasdaq market.
