Vodafone Romania To Expand 3G Broadband Services

After having introduced 3G broadband in Bucharest, Vodafone will expand these services to 6 new cities, according to a company press release. Starting today, 3G broadband services are available to Vodafone customers in Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, Constanta, Craiova, Timisoara and Iasi.

Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G broadband is a top wireless connectivity solution for laptop users, enabling data downloads at speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps. Vodafone Smart Modem 3G broadband is compatible with both PCs and laptops and enables instant Internet access, at speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps. Both services are available to Apple Macintosh laptop users as well, running on Mac OS X 10.4 operating system or later versions.

If the customer is not on 3G broadband (HSDPA) network coverage, both Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G broadband and Vodafone Smart Modem will connect through the Vodafone 3G network, which is now available in 23 Romanian cities: Alba Iulia, Arad, Bacau, Baia Mare, Bistrita, Brasov, Braila, Bucuresti, Buzau, Constanta, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Deva, Galati, Iasi, Oradea, Ploiesti, Pitesti, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Turda, Targu Mures, Timisoara.
