Volksbank Leasing Romania expects to finance goods worth 230 million EUR this year, up 24.3% from 2006, following an increase in the number of contracts closed by the company, according to Marketing Director Octav Dumitrescu, quoted by Newsin.
Last year, Volksbank Leasing Romania (VB Leasing Ro) financed goods worth 185 million EUR. The company recorded 4,500 leasing contracts in the first five months of the current year, a 27% increase from 3,550 contracts in the same period last year. The company estimates it will conclude approximately 14,000 contracts by the end of 2007.
In 2006, automobile and utility vehicle leasing accounted for approximately 60% of VB Leasing Ro"s portfolio, while trucks, trailers and construction equipment acounted for 33%. Equipment leasing represented 7% of the company"s portfolio. VB Leasing Ro last year expanded its regional network to 13 branches.
Volksbank Leasing Romania financed goods worth over 80 million EUR in the first five months of the current year, recording a 43% increase from 56 million EUR in the same period of 2006. The company is controled by VB Leasing International, part of the financial group Osterrechische Volkbanken AG.
