Shareholders in Volksbank Romania have approved a share capital increase by 112 milliuon RON (approximately 33,3 million EUR), from 229,1 to 341,1 million RON (101,5 million EUR), according to a press release sent to our newspaper.
The bank will issue ordinary shares totalling 84 million RON and preference shares worth 28 million RON, the face value of both types of shares being 0,1 RON. The issue premium will be 0,2 RON for each new share, the total value of the premium being 224 million RON.
Thus, Volksbank Romania"s total capital, including the share capital and the capital from the issue premium, has increased by 336 million RON (approximately 100 million EUR), reaching 862,71million RON. The capital increase will be done through a 112 million RON cash injection from Volksbank International AG, corresponding to 1,12 billion shares. Following this increase in share capital Volksbank International controls over 98,95% in Volksbank Romania.
