Greece's prime-minister, Alexis Tsipras, will need to pass legislation that will implement the reforms intended for the Greek banking system, so an amount of 3 billion Euros from the bail-out package that Athens got this year can be unlocked, says Thomas Wieser, the head of the Euro Working Groug (the working group for Eurogroup, which provides assistance in preparing the talks of the finance ministers in the Eurozone).
The funds are part of the first tranche intended for Athens, worth 26 billion Euros, announced in July, after the completion of the negotiations on the third financial aid package which Greece received, of 86 billion Euros.
"The money would be paid out in installments, if Alexis Tsipras and the countries in the Eurozone reach an agreement on the terms of granting the funds. The payment is subject to two conditions: the governance of the financial sector and the reform of this field", said Thomas Wieser quoted by Bloomberg.
The deputy finance ministers in the Eurozone have a reunion scheduled for September 24th to review the reforms which are going to be implemented by Greece.
