Wizz Air announced yesterday that it would expand operations from Bucharest in Romania by deploying an additional A320 aircraft delivered brand new, starting from 28 February 2008.
The airline will start new flights from Bucharest to Parma and Venice (Treviso) and will increase frequencies on most of its existing routes. The announcement comes two months after the airline established its base in Bucharest with one A320 aircraft and local crew. From February Wizz Air"s low fare network from Bucharest will consist of eight routes which will be served with 38 frequencies per week. The new flights are already on sale on Wizzair.com and via Wizz Air"s call center with fares starting from as low as 69 lei (euro19.99) all inclusive.
"We are committed to the Romanian market and will continue to add new destinations and flights at low fares which will move people from uncomfortable and inconvenient buses and trains to flying. We keep bringing reliable brand new A320 aircraft with enhanced cabin features and comfortable leather seats which - combined with our great deal fares - makes the Wizz travel experience truly appealing to customers" said József Váradi, CEO Wizz Air.
