EnglishZentiva Romania concluded Q1 with the highest growth rate of all subsidiaries of the Czech-based group, namely 27.2% to 23.23 million EUR, NewsIn reports. The former Sicomed factory accounted for 57.7%. Romania is the second most important market for the Czech group, generating 19.8% of the overall sales. Three brands - Simvacard, Azitrox and Rispen - generated 70.4% of the sales in Romania.
In September 2005, Zentiva acquired Venoma Holdings Ltd, which owned 51% in Sicomed. Later on, the Czech producer increased their stake in Sicomed to 75%. Zentiva Romania concluded last year ranking 7th among Romanian pharmaceutical companies with sales of 284 million RON and a market share of 5.2%.
