Zentiva"s profit for 2006 might be redirected to the company"s self-financing reserves, if the proposal of the Management Board is approved by shareholders. They will decide on the matter in the General Meeting, which will be convened on April 24th.
"The former Sicomed has not paid out dividends in the last three years, as it doesn"t have a dividend policy, the profit being redirected each year to self-financing sources", said Prime Transaction analyst Paul Brendea, adding that the Board"s proposal is not surprising. He also mentioned that the parent company, Zentiva NV (listed on the Prague Stock Exchange) has paid out dividends totalling 18% and respectively 19% of net profit in the last two years.
