The usage of European funding from the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) exceeds 33% in Centre Region. A total of 287 projects for the Centre Region and 9 Integrated Urban Development Plans (IUDP) which comprise several projects each were submitted by 30 April. The overall value of the projects exceeds 586 million EUR, of which the overall eligible value is nearly 407 million EUR.
According to a press release to BURSA, Centre Region was allocated 483.62 million EUR, equal to 10.90% of the total funding available through the Regional Operational Programme. Of the 287 projects and 9 IUDPs, 25 projects were contracted before the end of April, while 139 applications submitted for the various intervention areas of the 5 priority axes were rejected.
The other projects are in different phases of the evaluation and selection process, including 67 projects in the pre-contractual phase. Considering these aspects, the overall eligible value of the contracted projects and the projects under evaluation within the ROP for Centre Region covers approximately 61.23% of the funds allocated to this region.
