Shares of SIF Banat Crişana (symbol:SIF1) rose almost 12.5% before the close of Friday's trading session, on a trading volume four times greater than the one of the previous session. As a result, SIF1 stock reached 1.1590 lei/share, at the end of last week.
In turn, volume has climbed from 1.3 million shares, on Friday, to 4.29 million shares on Friday.
The evolution of the shares of SIF1 was driven by by aggressive buying from one market player, according to brokers, who have expressed their surprise at the behavior of the buyer. "In the last minutes, somebody bought 850,000 shares of SIF1, taking the price to 1.1590 lei/share. This behavior does not fit the usual buying patterns", market sources said, who added that we will have a clearer picture of the intentions of the buyer, once today's trading session begins.
SIF Banat-Crişana (SIF1) has reported total revenues of 53.54 million lei in the first semester, down 60.3% compared to the similar period of 2012, when the company sold to Erste the last shares it still had in BCR.
