"Aerostar" Bacău plans a profit of 11.27 million lei for the year 2011

"Aerostar" expects its turnover to reach 150,000,000 lei in 2011, total revenues of 158,800,000 lei and to keep total expenses below 147.520.389 lei, which would result in al gross profit of 11,279.611 lei. Also, shareholders have approved an investment program for 2011 with a total value of 14,500,000 lei, and have allocated 1,100,000 lei to the R&D program.

"Aerostar" SA Bacău ended 2009 with a turnover of 156,808,447 lei and a gross profit of 13,391,222 lei. At the end of June 2010, "Aerostar" SA Bacău reported a net turnover of 70,355,008 lei, up by more than 9 million lei YOY. "Aerostar" SA ended the first semester of 2010 with a gross profit of 3,742,451 lei.

"Aerostar" SA Bacău is a company specializing in the manufacturing, modernization and maintenance of aircraft. For over 30 years, the company has built a reputation for assembling and later manufacturing several versions of the YAK-52 light training aircraft, which sold a record of more than 1,800 units. In the 1990s, it became known for the modernization of the Mig 21 fighter, which was converted into a modern version called Lancer, which was compatible with NATO standards. Over the past few years, "Aerostar" has strengthened its position as manufacturer of aircraft for civil aviation, by becoming a provider of parts, structures and subassemblies for the world aeronautical industry. At the same time, the company has also grown to become a maintenance center for large civilian airplanes.

On August 31st, 2010, the majority shareholder of "Aerostar" SA was the company IAROM SA Bucureşti (71.0892%). SIF Moldova Bacău had 11.97%, and the remaining 16.93% was held by other individual and corporate shareholders.
