Beer producer Bermas Suceava reported a net profit of 1.87 million RON (597,283 EUR) for the second quarter of 2007, thus marking a 5.6% increase from 1.77 million RON in the same period last year, according to a report to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Turnover amounted to, 8.81 million RON (2.8 million EUR), down 1.12% from 8.91 million RON in the second quarter of 2006.
In the first half of 2007, Bermas posted a turnover of 11.78 million RON (3.75 million EUR), up 9.3% from 10.77 million RON in the same period last year. Net profit amounted to 1.42 million RON (454,194 EUR), recording a 24.5% rise from 1.14 million RON in the first half of 2006.
Bermas Suceava is listed on Tier 2 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as BRM. The company has a share capital of 12.18 million RON (3.61 million EUR), divided into 7.4 million shares with a face value of 0.70 RON. The significant shareholders in Bermas are the Victoria Bermas Association Suceava (30.87%), PAS Bermas (20.80%), Morosan Gavril (5.27%) and SIF Banat-Crisana (5.03%).
