Brokerage firm Broker Cluj (BRK) on Wednesday reported a 5.03% stake in abrasive materials manufacturer Carbochim - Cluj Napoca, according to a report from the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE). "We have been buying small numbers of Carbochim shares and now we have 5.03% in the company. We are inspired by their performance, assets, 25% market share and development prospects," said Broker Cluj CEO Petru Prunea.
Carbochim concluded last year with a net profit of 1.85 million RON (550,000 EUR), up five-fold from 2005, when the company reported 377,000 RON. Last year"s turnover stood at 33.2 million RON (9.8 million EUR), up by 5% from the previous year, when 31.5 million RON was reported. Carbochim has a share capital of 9.7 million RON (2.9 million EUR) divided into 3.88 million shares with a face value of 2.5 RON. The main shareholders are Cercon Ariesul (40%), SIF Banat Crisana (12.01%), Cemacon - Zalau (7.05%) and SIF Muntenia (7.01%).
