Broker SA Cluj Napoca yesterday sold 4.72% in Mecanica Ceahlau for 2.52 million RON, after selling 4% in the company last week for 2.2 million RON, according to a report to the Bucharest Stock Exchange quoted by NewsIn.
Mecanica Ceahlau reported a net profit of 58,824 RON (17,825 EUR) for the first quarter of this year, 23 times less than in Q1 2006, when earnings totaled 1.36 million RON. Turnover amounted to 7.06 million RON in the first three months, down 19.7% from 8.8 million RON in the same period last year. For this year, the company estimates a turnover of 37.63 million RON (11.33 million EUR), up 25% from last year, while net profit should increase by 32% to 3.83 million RON.
Mecanica Ceahlau has a share capital of 11.1 million RON, divided into 4.44 million shares with a face value of 2.50 RON. The majority shareholder in the company is SIF Moldova (55.18%), followed by Broker Cluj (14.73%) and MEI Roemenie & Bulgarije Fonds NV - the Netherlands (5.23%).
