Bucharest-based retailer Bucur Obor SA reported a net profit of 1.174 million RON (350,451 EUR) for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, an 11.8% increase from the same period last year, according to a report to Rasdaq quoted by NewsIn. Turnover totaled 2.99 million RON in the first three months, up 2.74% from the year-ago quarter.
The company ended 2006 with a net profit of 5.34 million RON, increasing by 3.5% from the past year. Bucur Obor has a share capital of 1.34 million RON, divided into 13.37 million shares with a face value of 0.10 RON. The significant shareholders in the company are Laurenţiu Postovaru (26.68%), Gelu Manea (16.05%), Broadhurst Investments Ltd (9.68%) and Amadeus Group (5.76%). Bucur Obor shares are traded in the "unlisted" category of Rasdaq, under the symbol BUCU.
