DNSC prepares new cyber security skills

Cyber security has become extremely important globally. Any breach can cause enormous damage. The National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) announces the start of the project "Creating new cyber security skills for society and the economy", a project financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The total value of the project is 146.792 million lei, of which 123.355 million lei without VAT, PNRR financing. The general objective of the project is the creation of new cyber security skills for society and the economy, with the aim of supporting the development of cyber security skills of pupils and students, as well as of public and private actors. According to DNSC: "The specific activities carried out within the project will lead to: the development and evaluation of a national cyber security curriculum by DNSC at pre-university and university level; the training of a group of 5,000 teachers, at pre-university and university level (train the trainer), with the organization of a specialized laboratory dedicated to each county, including the sectors of Bucharest; the accreditation of providers of professional training and training services in cyber security specifically for graduates and students (from Romania and the European Union), including the running of pilot programs; assessing, documenting and monitoring the level of maturity in cyber security (operational, technology, skills) for 1000 key economic and public administration actors (including companies, SMEs, schools, hospitals, central and local public administration bodies) ; creation and delivery of a "set of government tools and services" to increase the level of maturity in terms of cyber security of the 1000 identified key actors".

Among the beneficiaries of the project results are teachers at pre-university and university level, who will benefit from training sessions in the field of cyber security, cyber security specialists, graduates and students, public administration, economic entities, non-governmental organizations.
