Infrastructure works for the Paris Olympics - in the chart

Versiunea în limba română

France is doing well in terms of infrastructure ahead of this year's Summer Olympics, with all works set to be completed on time for the event. The athletes' village will be handed over on March 1 by SOLIDEO, the public company responsible for infrastructure, said its president, Nicolas Ferrand, in front of a group of French senators. "About 500 beds expected for the Olympic Village will only be delivered in April (two weeks late)," Ferrand said, emphasizing the "significant efforts made" to hand over the Grand Palais on time for Paris 2024. Fencing and taekwondo events will take place at the Grand Palais, just steps away from the Champs Elysees. "In total, there are three out of 70 subjects that have caused minor issues, without modifying the overall schedule," Ferrand noted, adding that the aquatic center where diving and synchronized swimming competitions will take place will be delivered a month earlier than planned, in March. Ferrand highlighted that the works were carried out almost within the budget limits, 1.412 billion euros - compared to the estimated 1.378 billion euros. The Olympic Games will take place between July 26 and August 11, and the Paralympic Games will be held between August 28 and September 8.
