Add Pharmaceuticals, one of the shareholders in Ropharma - Brasov will ask the General Meeting of 24 June to consider transferring the Ropharma stock from RASDAQ to the Bucharest Stock Exchange Tier 2. Ropharma is currently listed on RASDAQ Tier 1.
The General Meeting of 24 June will also consider increasing the number of Members of the Board from five to seven, buying a building in Tarnaveni, Mures County and suspending all operations of the wholly-owned subsidiary Ropharma Productions S.R.L. for three years.
Ropharma, a medicines distributor, posted a three-fold increase in turnover at the end of Q1 to 62.32 million RON from 20.57 million RON in Q1-2008 following the merger with three similar companies - Medica - Bacau, Farmaceutica Aesculap and Global Pharmaceuticals S.R.L. Ropharma"s profit also increased from 134,623 RON in Q1-2008 to 249,812 RON.
Ropharma has a share capital of 12.65 million RON divided into 126.52 million shares with a face value of 10 RON. Arrow Pharmaceuticals Inc. is the leading shareholder with 31.31%, followed by Rimia Investments Ltd. - Limassol with 26.63% and Add Pharmaceuticals Ltd. with 23.44%. The State Assets Recovery Authority (AVAS) holds 0.33%.
