CPI Security Group has become part of Securitas Group, a world leading provider of private security services, as the latter has announced the acquisition of 55% in the former. With some 215,000 employees, Securitas operates in over 30 European and North American countries.
Last year"s turnover reached 49 billion SEK, whereas the workforce reached 195,000 employees. Loomis, the secure transportation service division of Securitas, reported sales of 11.47 billion SEK and some 20,000 employees. The Group has a 12% share of the global security market (16% in North America and 18% in Europe), whereas Loomis has 19% of the European and North American markets.
