THE CLEAN MOUNTAINS PROJECT IN THE TRANSALPINA: Gefco Romania contributes by the materials' transport

The Gefco Romania logistics company for industry assists the international project for sustainable development in the Transalpina (Clean Mountains and Waters Project), by the construction materials' donation, according to a press release sent today to the editorial office.

Gefco provided, during the period June-July 2014, the building stone transportation from Maramureş county in Novaci locality, Gorj county, necessary for the refurbishment and the rearrangement of the localities, households and gardens in line with the local architecture. The materials have been donated by Fundaţia Casa de Meserii a Constructorilor (CMC) (the Constructors Crafts House Foundation).

The initiative is included in the Gefco social responsibility strategy to support sustainable development projects, on the axis "Community and local development". This is the first step in the collaboration between Gefco and Fundaţia Oxigen (Oxygen Foundation), the company following to continue the project support during the next stages.

The Clean Mountains and Waters Project International Movement has been developed by the Interview Francophone newspaper in collaboration with local and international partners, among which Fundatia Oxigen too. Established in 1997 by a Romanian geologist couple in Maramureş, Fundaţia Oxigen is trying to combat unemployment from the disadvantaged areas holding a large touristic potential if they protect their nature and take advantage of the human and environment resources in a sustainable manner.
