Turnover of "Pan Group" is on the rise

"Pan Group" SA, one of the largest players on the Romanian milling and bakery products, saw its turnover increase 20% in the first four months of 2010. According to the press release sent to our editors, on April 30 2009, the net turnover increased from 30.2 million lei (7.3 million Euros) on April 30, 2009, to 36.2 million lei at the end of Q1 2010 (8.8 million Euros).

"Given the fact that the entire economic environment has been harmed by the global economic crisis, we are happy with this result, which meets the goals we had set for ourselves for this period", said Mihai Cîrstea, the general manager of "Pan Group".

According to some recent studies, provided by the MEMRB, "Salatini" one of the most well-known brands of "Pan Group" continues to hold the top spot of the crackers segment, with a market share of 47.8%. At the same time "Pan Group" is the second largest Romanian industrial maker of sweet rolls (through the brand "Rollini d"Oro").
