Film lovers will be able to watch, free of charge, between October 25-28, a number of 25 films in the field of Fantasy & Horror, long and short, during the 11th edition of the International Fantasy Film Festival from Brasov - Dracula Film Festival. This year, the organizers propose to the public an edition rich in unique cinematic experiences, European premieres, meetings with the authors of the films, concerts, book launches and discussion panels, the organizers announced in a press release on Tuesday: "With an unbroken annual tradition of giving moviegoers direct access to a wide variety of fantasy expressions, from art film and documentary to thriller, sci-fi or horror, Dracula Film Festival aims to justify through the variety of experiences offered to the public inclusion in Dread Central's list of the 50 most important genre festivals in the world in 2021. With over 3,000 new film productions from nearly 140 countries entered in the Dracula Film Festival short and feature competitions, the international jury will had the difficult task of choosing the recipients of the trophies from a selection that reflects the wide variety of forms of expression of adult fantasy, covering most of the sub-genres of this niche." As for the short films, 10 films were selected for the international competition, the winner being rewarded with "Little Dracula", and another 5 Romanian short films were selected for the "Vlăduţ" award. The jury of the short film section consists of Ana Ştefania Andronic (visual artist), Andrei Cotruţ (graphic designer. illustrator) and Sebastian M. Ceolca (film critic). The selection of short films was made by film critic Cristian Mărculescu. All 10 films from the feature film competition, as well as the films selected in the short film category, will be able to be viewed at Cinema Modern in Braşov, with free admission, between October 25-28. Dracula Film Festival is a project of the Fanzin Cultural Association and financed by Brasov City Hall.
