"IFond Gold" invests 40% of its assets in "Gabriel Resources" stock

The portfolio of the mutual fund iFond Gold, managed by Intercapital Investment Management, will invest most of its assets - 40% - in shares of "Gabriel Resouces", the company which holds 80% of the "Roşia Montană Gold Corporation". Other 20% of its assets will be invested in "European Goldfield" shares, according to the prospectus sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The fund may invest in stocks or other financial instruments related to gold, traded on markets of the European Union or on those operated by NYSE Euronext and the TMX Group (Toronto Stock Exchange).

The shares of "Gabriel Resources", listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, have almost tripled over the last year, reaching 7.11 Canadian dollars, up from 2.63 canadian dollars on November 10, 2009.

The shares of "European Goldfield" are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as well as on the AIM tier of the London Stock Exchange. The company owns 80% of the mining project of Certej, in the Apuseni Mountains.

According to the prospectus, the investment structure discussed, represents a target for the moment of the listing of the fund, and may undergo modifications, the prospectus shows.

Starting today, investors will be able to purchase shares in the fund, with a value of 200 lei, at a price of 202 lei / share. The manager of the fund has issued 10,000 units, but it can increase the offer to as much as 50,000 shares.
