Ziarul BURSA #English Section / 14 august 2007

ABB has announced the completion of the CET 2 - Oradea 110/20 kV power station for Electrica Transilvania Nord. The station ensures power supply to individual and industrial consumers in the southeastern part of the city. Moreover, it also ensures interconnection between the distribution system and the transportation system through two 110 kV lines to Oradea Sud.

The project consisted in the rehabilitation of the 110 kV stations and the construction of a new 20 kV station. ABB Romania was the contractor in charge of engineering, civil works, assembly, equipment provision and commissioning. The necessary equipment was provided by the ABB factories in Finland, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and Spain. Among others, the station has an ABB MicroScada digital safety and control system, which enables both local and remote operation.
