The company apparently has 53,576 lei in outstanding debt, according to information from the Ministry of Finance

Soccer player Adrian Mutu has decided to temporarily put his online retail business on hold.

The player of Fiorentina recently decided to suspend the operations of his company "Adrian Mutu Digital", for a three year period, according to the Official Gazette.

The formalities will be handled by his mother, Rodica Mutu. "Adrian Mutu Digital", whose main line of business was retail sales online or through mail order houses, was incorporated in 2008 and had an initial share capital of 200 lei.

In the beginning, Adi Mutu was the sole shareholder of the company, but later he was joined by Lucian Despoiu.

However, it seems he failed to transfer his soccer success to his retail business, since the company seems to have 53,576 lei in outstanding debt, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Besides, upon the decision to suspend the company"s operations, Lucian Despoiu sold his six shares worth 60 lei to Adrian Mutu and left the business.

It has to be said that the officials of "Adrian Mutu Digital" were not available for further comment.

Things aren"t going too well for the football player right now, considering that his former club Chelsea, is demanding 17.3 million Euros in damages, following his cocaine use scandal, and he is currently banned after his doping tests came out positive.

The suspended company is also the one that designed the footballer"s personal website.
