Anadolu Automobil Rom will open the largest Isuzu showroom in Europe, located in Ciolpani and built on a surface area of 2.500 square metres. Following the acquisition of 30.000 square metres of land on the de Bucharest - Ploiesti highway, Anadolu Automobil Rom - the largest Inter-City busses dealer in Romania, has started construction works for the showroom. The total value of the investment amounts to 6 million EUR. The compex will also include wash, paint and repair services, as well as an ITP station and a filling station. Isuzu will also bring new commercial vehicles to the Romanian market.
Isuzu rose its stake in commercial vehicle production and sales joint venture, Anadolu Isuzu Otomotive Sanyi ve Ticaret A.S. (AIOS) from 17% to 20%. With this move, Isuzu intends to strengthen its collaboration with its business partner in Turkey and enhance the manufacturing function of AIOS.
Leveraging the reinforced AIOS, Isuzu plans to start knockdown assembly of pickup truck, "D-MAX" and introduce fully remodeled light-duty truck "N Series" to the Turkish market with an eye to expanding sales in Turkey. Isuzu plans to increase exports from Turkey to overseas markets including Europe in the future. Anadolu Automobil Rom is the AIOS exclusive dealer for Romania since 1998.
