EnglishAvicola Braşov, specializing in the production of poultry, announces a loss of 2.8 million lei in Q1 2011, after posting s profit of 397,000 in Q1 2010. The company"s turnover fell 9% during the reviewed period, from 24.2 million lei to 22 million lei.
The company"s total revenues fell 3%, from 25.6 million lei to 24.7 million lei, whereas expenses increased 10%, from 25.2 million lei to 27.6 million lei.
The company is controlled by businessman Ioan Popa, who is also the owner of poultry producer Transavia Alba Iulia, which holds 70.83% of the shares of Avicola Braşov.
