Brokerage firm Broker Cluj reported a gross profit of 17.6 million RON for the first five months of the current year, comparable with the company"s profit for the whole year 2006. Total assets surpassed 126 million RON in the first five months of 2007.
On May 31st, the net asset amounted to 0.905 RON/share, while net asset value totaled 98.81 million RON. Broker Cluj holds stakes in 81 companies, the market value of the company"s portfolio reaching approximately 94.75 million RON.
The brokerage firm ended 2006 with a net profit of 18.67 million RON, up 44.2% from the past year. Turnover topped 13.28 million RON last year, a 48% increase compared with 8.9 million RON in 2005.
Broker Cluj reported a net profit of 7.14 million RON (2.13 million EUR) for the first quarter of the current year, up 37.7% from 5.38 million RON in the same period last year. Turnover amounted to 4.34 million RON (1.29 million EUR) in the first three months, a 17.2% increase from the corresponding period of 2006.
The company expects a net profit of 25.1 million RON for the year 2007, compared with 18.67 million RON last year as well as an increase in market share, from 4.74% to 7.11%. Broker Cluj is listed on Tier 1 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as BRK.
